Lab Vocabulary

  • alive - Contains all 8 of the characteristics above

  • dead (Scientifically) - irreversible end of circulatory and respiratory functions, or end to all functions of the entire brain

  • dormant- Do not show characteristics of life until places in the correct environments, inactive

  • made from an organism - Came from an organism that meets the criteria for "alive"

  • never alive - Missing one or ore of the 8 criteria above
